Real Wedding- Jess & Josh

Lightspace was completely transformed for Jess + Josh’s extraordinary wedding ceremony and reception. The rustic warehouse space was filled with exotic greenery. It hung from the ceiling, cascaded up the exposed black brick walls and stood in the form of potted trees.

As both the ceremony and reception were held in Lightspace, this wedding required a flip of the room from the beautiful and minimal ceremony featuring oak chairs and luscious hanging greenery to the intricately designed reception space. The combination of square and rectangular raw timber tables not only created interest within the minimal styling but was a great use of space allowing us to comfortably fit a large entourage.

The point of difference in this wedding was the choice to use only greenery. Although there is a strong trend to have that fresh and luscious overflowing greenery, it is not often that there are no florals to compliment and balance out the almost forest-like aesthetic. The hanging greenery was draped from installed timber rafters and stood in oversized pots, encroaching into the space and creating feelings of elegance and safety.

The subtly of the floral design was reflected in the table settings by using minimal colour and dinnerware. A soft grey palette complimented the black brick walls and brought a romantic ambience to the space.

Congratulations to Jess + Josh.
